PORTRAITURE

Portraiture is a rewarding and integral part of my practice and as such I have been making commissioned portraits of people and animals for many years.

I tend to only accept work that I can make with integrity and interest and as such only expect payment if the client is happy with the piece.

PROCESS
Initially It would be good to have a chat about the subject, be it family members, children or a loved animal or pet whilst also discussing any further meaning, symbolism and/or sacred geometry you may want included within the portrait.

I work from photographs and would ideally take my own photos of the subject. As this is not always possible I can work from high resolution images.

Pricing depends on size and included geometry. As all portraits are unique the dimensions will vary from piece to piece. However the majority fall between 40cms x 60cms up to 100cms x 100cms with a rough pricing for these sizes beginning at £1800 to £4500.

I can of course take care of any framing requirements and deal any logistics/delivery.

Once all has been agreed the work itself will take about 3 weeks from the agreed start date. During this time I will keep you updated on it’s progress or not as you prefer. Hopefully the previous portraits in this section will give you an clearer idea of my portraits.

ARTIST RESIDENCE - HOTEL - 2017

Painting on wall commission for a room at the Artists Residence Hotel in Brighton.

REUNION NIGHT HERON

Each work was made into a print that is now being held in the permanent collection at the V&A Museum London.

The Reunion Night Heron drawing came about through the Ghost of Gone Birds.

Group Exhibition in 2011.

HOXTON HOTEL PARIS - Jacques’ Bar

3 pieces installed as part of a mixed hang by the Jealous Gallery and Soho House for the Hoxton Hotel in Paris.

LONDON HONEY COMPANY

Wax Candle, 2017/18

Drawing design for the London Honey Co.
In return for honey to make my ‘Honey’ piece for the Jealous Solo show, May 2018.

The piece was made out of a case of honey framed together with a gold geometry printed on glass and 18 hand painted species of bee.

The Geometry used in all pieces comes from the sacred geometry of Eve’s grid.

I am currently developing a meadow in Devon which I am doing not only for conservation reasons to support the wildlife of the area (especially bees and Butterflies) But also for inspiration and research which informs my work.
The images of the flowers are from my meadow and the Peacock Butterfly is one of our most recognisable British Butterflies.
